Chinatown, Little Italy & Brooklyn Bridge Tour

Your walking tour of two of Manhattan's most famous neighbourhoods will begin in City Hall Park, meeting your guide next to the Jacob Wrey Mould Fountain in the south of the island. Throughout the next three hours, you'll delve deep into the vibrant fusion of cultures for which New York is known, as well as taking in the spectacular views from the emblematic Brooklyn Bridge... what are you waiting for?

Start by exploring Chinatown, a district packed with restaurants, shops and markets signposted with Chinese characters and selling Chinese products. The most highly-concentrated Chinese enclave in the world, and one of the oldest too, this neighbourhood has reflected Chinese culture, language and community since the first Chinese immigrant moved into Mott Street in the 1850s.

Wandering through Chinatown's most authentic streets, like Mulberry, Pell, Bayard, Doyers and Canal Street, you'll reach the historic Confucius Plaza before exploring locations that will seem very familiar if you've seen the iconic film Gangs of New York. Discover the history of Irish immigration in New York as you continue your walking tour through Five Points.

Next stop: Italy. Well, almost! Little Italy is a neighbourhood full of history, culture and gastronomy, but it was once one of the poorest places in Manhattan and was known for its organised crime and mafia connections. Hear the legendary tales of notorious gang members as you stroll through the setting for Mario Puzo's The Godfather.
